Richard Prosser was a Civil Engineer, Inventor, Patentee and Patent Law Reformer who hailed from
Birmingham. As an ancestor of my husband I have been researching his family history and business life.

The above portrait was commissioned by Mr Bennet Woodcroft immediately after
Richard's unexpected early death. It was painted from a plaster death mask.
